Now firmly established as the UK's only dedicated national sensors, test, measurement & instrumentation event, Sensing Technology 2012 takes place on Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th September and for 2012 is co-located with six other exhibitions making this the biggest industrial event of the year.

For those looking for new products or simply the latest information, with the enhanced Sensing Technology 2012 exhibition everything needed will literally be under one roof – from sensors, test and measurement equipment, and other types of instrumentation; to interesting seminars and knowledgeable professionals. The Sensing Technology exhibition is now in it’s third year, and each has evolved to meet the demands of both exhibitors and visitors.

The event was created as an exhibition with seminar programme in 2010 simply because there wasn’t an event like it in the UK. Those sourcing sensor products in the UK had nowhere to go to see the newest products, or to find out about the latest sensor technologies. Sensing Technology was therefore launched as “The UK’s only national event dedicated to sensors and sensing technology”. For the first time in the UK, those looking for such products had an event, located centrally in the country, which not only gave them the chance to see the latest products and live demonstrations, but also one which enabled them to speak to engineers from a wide range of companies about their application needs or ideas.

The organisers of Sensing Technology have since discovered that visitors attend the event because they are looking for specific products. In fact following both previous events, many exhibitors commented on how impressed they were by the knowledge held by the visitors, and explained how they had very specific requirements for very specific applications, resulting in lengthy and detailed discussions.

In 2012 the evolution of the exhibition has continued, offering even more to visitors and exhibitors alike. Visitors, it turned out, wanted more than just sensors – so this year the show is expanding further still, by being opened up to suppliers and manufacturers of test and measurement products and other types of instrumentation.
